Lost in Fiber | Agency is the creative studio of artist, writer and visual researcher, Abigail Doan.
'Agency' translates to a broader view of how to engage with both historic and modern moments.
Collaborations to date include materials research, styling , and installation concepts for art and design studios, as well as writing projects for Dwell.com, HAND/EYE journal , The Wild Magazine, and select international publications. Lectures and artist talks include critiques and Q & A discussions at the California College of the Arts, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, MoMA PS1, Purchase College/State University of New York, The Fashion Institute of Technology, and The Textile Arts Center in NYC.
Abigail's studio projects have been featured by Art Cloth Text, Critical Making Lab, Greenmuseum, Landviews, Treehugger, and Trendtablet, as well as in the New York Times, HAND/EYE Magazine, PLANET, Surface Design Journal, and the books, Slow Stitch: Mindful and Contemplative Textile Art and Fiber Art Today.
